About Us
|
Situated in beautiful Perth, Western Australia, I hope you have so far enjoyed our home on the net.
Having
immigrated to Australia from South Africa in 1994 and having many great
dogs there I couldn't wait until we were settled and able to get
another Rottweiler. In 1999 (at 14yrs old) I bought my first Rottweiler
bitch in Australia. She turned out to be Australian Champion Gelderland Just Destiny
"Abby". Although I was young I was extremely dedicated to my hobby. Since
getting Abby I have been involved in the dog show world. I have been
placed at all the Junior Handler Finals I was entered in, and have
handled, trained & groomed dogs from Cavaliers to German Shepherds and even Poodles.
After
meeting Louise Russell (Ubersein Rottweilers) at the QLD Nationals in
2001, I bought my second Rottweiler in 2002. Ubersein My Cloud Nine
"Nina", this little bitch taught me all about the highs and lows of
being involved in the Rottweiler breed, she was an awesome pup with a
temperament like no other. Unfortunately it was not to be as Nina came
up with bad hips and I had to let her go. Louise has ended up as a
mentor for me, she is always there for me no matter what happens, we
don't always see eye to eye but for the most part we do and I thank her
for everything she has done for me and my Rottweiler involvement so far.
In
2003 I bought 2 new bloodlines into Western Australia at the same time as doing a Certificate 4 in Dog Grooming, Shidian Au As
You Like It "Vinnie" was bought in co-ownership with the Finisters, and
I also decided to bring in a male from New Zealand Rolex I've Heard A
Rumour "Kuda". Unfortunately once again neither of these dogs
eventuated, "Vinnie's" temperament was not something I wish on anyone,
and "Kuda" ended up with a missing tooth - M3. He is now living the
life of luxury in Bunbury.
After going through these issues,
my faith in continuing in the dog world was slowly diminishing. With
the help of great friends in the breed and after having a break
from the show world, late 2004 saw my first litter produced. From this
breeding I retained Australian Champion Madora Ms Chevious "Kaylee" and
her brother Madora Tiket T The Top "Keifer".
In
2005 I put
showing on the back burner whilst I did my Degree in Veterinary
Nursing, I still managed the odd show and titled Kaylee. She then took
a break from the show ring in December 2006 to produce her first
litter.
From this litter my friend has taken Madora Glitz N Glamour "Chica".
Who has really proved herself in the show ring alongside her mother.
I
have had a great time in 2007 and 2008 showing all the dogs at selected
shows. Now with commitments at University studying a Bachelor of
Science in Human Nursing, again
showing is kept to a minimum but in April 2008 "Kaylee" had her second
litter for me, from this I have retained Madora The Guardian "Rossi"
& Madora Cover Girl "Maddie".
2009
has proved to be a year of study, and not much else. Fortunately this
is good for my degree but unfortunate as the dogs have not been out and
about in the showring as much. Luckily they made it to both the April and August
Specialties were we had great results.
Now that 2010 is here we look forward to what the show/working season can bring us! :)
